Youth Mentorship Program

Guiding Tomorrow’s Leaders

About the Program

The Domestic Truth Foundation’s Youth Mentorship Program is committed to supporting young individuals aged 10-17 who have been victims of domestic violence. This program provides them with the guidance, encouragement, and resources they need to overcome challenges, build self-confidence, and develop essential life skills. Through positive role models and structured activities, the program aims to empower youth to achieve their full potential.

Why Youth Mentorship Matters

  • Positive Influence: Research shows that having a mentor can significantly influence a young person’s behavior, academic performance, and outlook on life. Mentored youth are more likely to succeed in school and develop positive social behaviors.
  • Building Confidence: Mentorship helps young people build self-esteem and confidence, which are critical for personal development and mental well-being.
  • Setting and Achieving Goals: Mentors provide guidance and support, helping youth set and achieve both personal and academic goals, laying the foundation for a successful future.
  • Emotional Support: Mentorship offers a crucial support system for young individuals, helping them navigate the emotional challenges associated with trauma and providing a safe space for expression.
